scheduling, summer program, piano lesson

This evening, instead of writing or relaxing, I spent the entire time I was off family duty working on our complicated schedule. Sometimes I wish I had a secretary. It was frustrating, but nonetheless, it was work that had to be done.

Today was jam-packed. Among other things, I signed Hazel up for a summer Spanish program, after consulting with her about which one seemed most appealing. She’ll be in a 5 to 9 age group (the one she chose), and they’ll be doing arts, music, and soccer as part of the program.

Today was also Hazel’s piano lesson, which went very well. I am proud of her. She has gotten better at focusing. Her teacher did a good job of calling it when it would have been tempting to push it to have her do another new song, but probably not gotten a good result.
