New stroller shed

Our talented handyman came over yesterday and put together a shed in which we can store our twin stroller. It’s big and heavy, and dragging it up and down the stairs is a pain in the butt, as well as not so good for the elderly wood on our porch. In the interests of avoiding a several thousand dollar porch remodel, as well as unneccessary back pain and wear and tear on the stroller, we decided to have the shed built so we can keep the stroller on the ground but relatively dry and protected. After getting quotes from contractors for $1900 (!) and $3500 (!!), we figured we didn’t need anything fancy, and David really came through for us. It’s not the most beautiful object in the world, but it’s fine, and it’s only for a couple of years, after all. And it only cost us $670. Much better.

Tonight we actually managed to get Hazel upstairs about 45 minutes to an hour earlier than usual. And she is asleep! And the babies are fed. And some of the dishes are done. Be still my beating heart!

I’m not feeling inspired to heights of philosophical expression, however, so this post will have to live with a certain blandness of character. Ah well. You win some, you lose some…

    I think Hazel in bed,
    babies fed
    is
    a
    win-win situation
